Helen Roscoe: Photographer - Artist - Teacher - Explorer - Mother

Helen began teaching yoga in 2014 and has been a professional photographer since 2007. Her background in the arts and as a full-time athlete means she has a unique take on movement and creativity. With an MA in photography she has a keen eye on capturing life and documenting it to its fullest. From portraiture to the environment her relationship to photography inspires where she decides to explore yoga and vice versa.
Along her path of yoga Helen has studied Viniyoga with Paul Harvey, Freedom Style Yoga with Erich Schiffman and therapeutic applications of Yoga with AG and Indra Mohan. Her approach is mostly influenced by her ongoing work and relationship with Yoga therapist Zoë Martin. In her first class with Zoë, Helen knew yoga was something she had to have more of in her life and it wasn’t long before she knew it would also become a way of living.
"As a teacher I am passionate about working with people in creative ways in order for them to move through life with ease. My personal yoga practice tells me where I am from moment to moment as a way to truly nourish and explore my wholeness.”
Helen currently explores yoga with Zoë Martin, and also loves to explores new ideas and potentialities with the wonderful Sheila Baker and Jane Craggs.
Alongside all of this is her devotion to her family. “…becoming a parent has opened my eyes to the many possibilities life has to offer… my children have been the biggest awakening in my life to date.”
Helen is a fully certified 200 hour Yoga teacher trainer and is currently undertaking her Yoga during pregnancy training with Zoë Martin.
